![]() ![]() You can certainly update from V11 to V12 - I've done that myself. However, don't worry if it does, next time you fire up Comand it will resume the installation from where it left off. Installing them is quite easy, but takes about 1 3/4 hours for DVD1 and a further 1/2 hour for DVD2, so I've found the best way is to connect a battery charger to the car battery and leave the ignition on (the position just before the starter motor kicks in) to avoid Comand shutting down during the installation. New will set you back about £150, whereas second user DVD's (make sure they're genuine MB, not copies) a year or two old can often be had either from a forum member or from eBay for considerably less. ![]() You have 2 choices with upgrade DVD's - new, or second user. First off what is the build date of your car/Comand system? If it's pre 11/08 you can only update to V12 2014-15 due to the size of the nav partition on the Comand HDD - this is the problem I have with my 7/08 NTG4, and fixing that is not cheap! ![]()
